  2. Saudi Arabia is said to be close to reaching a deal to acquire a minority stake in Pakistan’s $7 billion Reko Diq copper and gold mine, controlled by Barrick Gold.

  • India’s mining output rises 8% year-on-year. India’s mining index rose to 139.6 in February 2024. Iron ore and limestone account for 80 per cent of the total production value.
